6137975619_c43de149c0This morning I was reading Die Losungen which is a devotional in German.  Today’s Old Testament verse is a great promise to those facing challenges,

“Ich bin der HERR, dein Gott, der deine rechte Hand faßt und zu dir spricht: Fürchte dich nicht, ich helfe dir!”  Translation:  For I am the LORD your God, who upholds your right hand, Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.  (Isaiah 41:13)

Think about that – God is not only with you, but He is there to help you!  Bill Hull in his book Choose the Life notes that the command “don’t be afraid” occurs 366 times in the Bible, one for every day of the year plus one.

Are you facing some fears?  Remember that fear is the darkroom where negatives are developed.  It is the knowledge of God that can keep you from the fear of man.  If God is for you then who can be against you?  Be encouraged by the truth of God’s word,

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)
