1. Jesus should be your teacher because He’s the master teacher and His teachings can transform your life.
  2. You can’t say that you accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but not accept his claim to be King. (C.S. Lewis popularized this idea.)
  3. When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, (Matthew 7:28)
  4. Jesus taught with sincerity. He told people not what they wanted to hear, but what they needed to hear.
  5. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)
  6. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, (Matthew 6:17)
  7. Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. (Matthew 7:24)
  8. It’s not sufficient to simply hear God’s word, you must put it into practice.
  9. Teachers affect eternity; you can never tell where their influence stops. Henry Adams
  10. Come to the living water – come to Jesus.
