It’s great being back in Germany – seeing old friends and making new friends.  I taught yesterday from 8 to 6 p.m. and since today is Saturday we finished our class at 12:30 and I was able to do some sightseeing.  The picture on this post is from a little village (Münchingen) about 3 kilometers away.  Last night Jeanne and I took a beautiful walk in a snow storm (since we’re from South Carolina, we get excited to see snow).

Every time I come to Germany I’m impressed by the German quality, the cleanliness, and the friendly people.  The students in my class are literally from all over the world.  Although we’re from different cultures and separated by thousands of miles, it’s great to see the bond that we have as brothers and sisters in Christ.  May the prayer of Jesus in John 17:21 be a reality in our lives, “that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.”

I find that travel is not only a way to make new friends but it’s a tremendous education.  Saint Augustine said, “The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.”  What are some favorite places you have visited in your travels?  Tschuss!
