This past week I had the opportunity to attend the Global Leadership Summit. Here is a small sampling of ideas that resonated with me from some of the speakers.

Craig Groeschel

Great leaders never cast blame. Great leaders take responsibility.
You cannot correct what you will not confront.

John Maxwell

Difficult times are literally made for leaders. Leaders like a challenge.
Most of the things you really want you don’t have because they are outside of your comfort zone.

Marcus Buckingham

I have all the freedom I need to decide how to get my work done.

Sadie Robertson Huff

If you’re not rooted in the Word and prayer, the spotlight will crush you.
If you’re a leader, you’re going to get criticism. If you’re holding the football, you’re going to get tackled.

Michael Todd

The pace of grace is the sweet spot between great results and genuine rest.
Get a vision of yourself rested, whole.

Lysa Terkeurst

Holding grudges is a form of arrested development. It holds people back.
People who don’t make mistakes don’t do anything . . . they’re not going to try anything new.
“Modern organizations cannot survive without people who yearn to take risks.” – Forbes
Reconciliation is conditional. Forgiveness is a decision and a process.
Forgiveness is not for the other person. It is the only way to sever the suffering. There’s been enough suffering.

Albert Tate

Leadership isn’t something we do. Leadership is something we can be.
When you treat God the wrong way, you’re going to treat His people the wrong way.
It’s hard to turn over a table of injustice when you’re sitting comfortably at it. Are you comfortably sitting at a table you should be flipping because of systems of injustice?
Moses would see further than he would go. Joshua would go further than he would see.
