Run when you can, walk if you have to, crawl if you must; just never give up. Dean Karnazes

Dean Karnazes is no stranger to those in the running community. Among his many accomplishments, he has:

Run 135 miles across Death Valley in 120+ degree temperatures several times.
Run for 350 continuous miles, foregoing sleep for three nights.
Run a marathon to the South Pole in negative 40 degrees.
Run a 200-mile relay race solo, racing alongside teams of twelve — on ten different occasions.
Run 50 marathons, in all 50 U.S. states, in 50 consecutive days, finishing with the New York City Marathon, which he ran in three hours.

Several years ago I read his first book, Ultramarathon Man, that inspired a generation of ultra runners. I recently read The Road To Sparta which shows the incredible significance of one man’s life. Time magazine named Dean one of the “Top 100 Most Influential People in the World.” Men’s Fitness hailed him as one of the fittest men on the planet.

I am currently in a season of walking because have to – but I will never give up!

Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. (Galatians 6:9)
