In our leisure we reveal what kind of people we are.
Ovid

The way we live in our free time reveals our priorities. What do you do in your non-working hours? It’s healthy to have a diversion from our work. If you’re indoors, in front of a screen all day, then it can be therapeutic to get outside in nature for your leisure. If you keep the bow always bent, it will eventually break.

Ideally you should have a hobby that provides a welcome departure from your vocation. Your hobby should be pursued for the restorative power that it provides for you. All of us need to take time to sharpen the saw.

If the axe is dull and he does not sharpen its edge, then he must exert more strength. Wisdom has the advantage of giving success. (Ecclesiastes 10:10)
