He that wrestles with us strengthens our nerves and sharpens our skill. Our antagonist is our helper.
Edmund Burke

Our initial response to adversity is often avoidance. One guarantee of life is that you will face difficulties. I can’t always control what happens to me, but I can control my response to the situation. Think back on adversity that you’ve encountered – was it a learning experience? Perhaps you’ve developed strength, wisdom, and perspective.

It’s our perspective is what calls an event good or bad. Can you see adversity as a teacher to help you become the best version of yourself?

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (James 1:2-4)
