“God is More Than Enough” is an encouraging study of Psalm 23 by Tony Evans.  Evans emphasizes that the good news of the twenty-third Psalm may be summed up by this statement, “If the Lord is your Shepherd, He will meet all your needs.  By allowing Him to freely do this for us, we can rest assured that whatever possible need arises, our Good Shepherd is sure to be there” (p.8).

This short book provides a verse by verse exposition of the Psalm with numerous illustrations and encouraging principles for everyday life.  Evans provides sound, practical wisdom throughout the book, for example, “Most people seek to determine God’s leading only from their circumstances.  But our circumstances never determine the leading of God; they only confirm God’s leading’ (p. 24).

This book also contains many encouraging principles throughout, “When He’s all you have, He’s all you need” (p. 33).  For those of you who are familiar with Tony Evans preaching you will recognize his sound biblical teaching coupled with relevant application for everyday life.  This is a excellent study for anyone looking for encouragement – I highly recommend this book!  (I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review).
