I’m attending the Forum of Biblical Agencies conference in Orlando, Florida (80 degrees in November, I can get used to it).  Samuel Rodriguez who is the President of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference gave an inspirational keynote address emphasizing the transformative power of God’s Word.  Cultures and civilizations have come and gone but the word of our God stands forever (Isaiah 40:8).

Mark Brown, the Chief Strategist of Global Scope Media gave the next talk.  It was an incredible presentation revealing the power of the digital age – we’ve gone from Gutenberg to Google with amazing results.  Mark placed the verse John 3:16 on ““The Bible” facebook page (over 8 million people like this page) and in less than one minute it had:

This was less than one minute!  Several minutes later it had over 8,800 likes!  Think of the incredible power of the internet!  Then I thought of Jesus’ words in Matthew 24:14, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a witness to all the nations, and then the end shall come.”  The word “preached” has the idea of proclaiming.  Do you realize how quickly this may happen!  None of knows how much time is left – may we be found faithful sowing the precious seed of the Gospel in these last days for His glory!
