If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15)

Everyday we encounter a multitude of choices. We make our choices and then our choices make us. Your life is the sum total of the choices you’ve made over the years. After Israel entered the promised land, Joshua revealed that they could either follow the gods of the land, or they follow the one true God who had led them out of Egypt. Joshua led the way by setting the example of his own life.

Are you tempted to follow the gods of this world or are you following the one, true God? God wants to use you to change the world. Your destiny is the sum of the choices and decisions you make in life.
