Too many people have uphill desires with downhill habits
John Maxwell
John Maxwell declares that everything worthwhile is uphill. You know that anything worth having is worth the effort. Theodore Roosevelt lived by this creed, “Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty . . . I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life. I have envied a great many people who led difficult lives and led them well.” You value that which you have worked to attain. You must put in the effort to get what you desire.
All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness. (Hebrews 12:11)
