It’s not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste a lot of it.
Seneca
Everyone has the same amount of time, from the most powerful person in the world to a young child – each of us has 24 hours a day. Time is different than money. You can put money in the bank and save it and even gain interest, but not so with time. Once this moment has passed, it’s gone forever. Do you find that you don’t have enough time? What distractions are keeping you from living as God intended?
Henry David Thoreau warns us, “As if you could kill time without injuring eternity.” Every moment is a precious gift from God and the Apostle Paul admonishes us to make the most of our time,
making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. (Ephesians 5:16-17)
