I act as if my life depends on each decision. Because it does.
Tom Rath
When Tom Rath was a teenager doctors informed him that he had a rare genetic disorder that shut off a powerful tumor suppressor gene and could lead to rampant cancerous growth throughout his body. He realized that every bite of food was a small but important choice. Tom studied principles of healthy living and recorded his lessons in his book Eat, Move, Sleep: How Small Choices Lead to Big Changes.
It’s essential that we understand the importance of small decisions and that we eat, move, and sleep as if our lives depends on it – because it does. We must understand that small investments made consistently over time have a cumulative effect.
Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:16-17)
