Augustine reveals the primacy of finding our rest in God. Many people try to find peace through external means – escapism, drugs, or entertainment. Francois de La Rochefoucauld however warns us, “If we have not peace within ourselves, it is in vain to seek it from outward sources.” There is one true source of peace and that is found in Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Have you come to Him?

Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)
