Instead of working toward retirement, work toward your ideal lifestyle.
James Clear
I experienced the truth of this principle forty years ago. My plan was to stay in the Navy for twenty years, receive a nice pension, and serve God. As I prayed about my next duty assignment, I sensed that God wanted me now. I left active duty and enrolled as a seminary student.
Are you living your ideal lifestyle? I experienced my ideal lifestyle in a few years what would have taken over a decade if I would have waited for retirement. Our lives may be short and they may be unpredictable – may you experience your ideal lifestyyle now!
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit.” Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. (James 4:13-14)
