I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to reach my destination.

A fact of life is that we will face headwinds. We can either enter into self-pity and say, “Woe is me,” or we can respond with tenacity and grit and say, “Good, let’s see how we’ll get through this situation.” Could it be that God allows hardships into your life to deepen your faith and develop your character? It all depends upon your attitude. Will you use the difficulties of life to lead you closer to God or will you allow them to push you away from God? The choice is up to you.

You can either be a victim of your circumstances, or a victor in your circumstances. The Apostle Peter, who was no stranger to adversity, wrote that what finds favor with God is when you remain steadfast even when you are suffering unjustly (1 Peter 2:19). We have a world to win, let’s get to it!

We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work. (John 9:4)
