How long are you going to wait before you demand the best for yourself?
Epictetus
How many people are really living? Thoreau observed, “The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. What is called resignation is confirmed desperation.” Far too many people are simply existing rather than living. Don’t allow the everyday problems keep you from experiencing the abundant life that is your birthright as a child of God (John 10:10). Jesus gave us this advice in the Sermon on the Mount,
So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:34)
In the words of Mary Oliver, “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” May you truly live all of the days of your life.
