1. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. (Hebrews 12:11)

2. The road of discipline leads to a rewarding destination.

3. Discipline is hard at the beginning, messy in the middle, and beautiful at the end.

4. Detours can make you bitter or better.

5. The word “discipline” is the word used to train a child and it involves total life training with an emphasis on the cultivation of mind and morals.

6. If it was easy then anyone could do it.

7. Hard times can teach us what we refuse to learn in good times.

8. You don’t need to outrun a bear, you just need to be able to outrun the person next to you.

9. Smooth seas never made skilled sailors.

10. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. (Hebrews 12:3)
