The challenges of life and leadership can often exact an emotional toll.  Where do you find the energy to tackle those challenging projects on your to-do list?  Too many Christians suffer from CFS (Christian Fatigue Syndrome).  It is essential that you learn how to muster the energy to face the tasks that are so easy to put off.  Jesus reveals our true source of strength,

If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, “From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.”  (John 7:37b-38)

Do you feel dry and perhaps thirsty at times – then come to Jesus.  The one who comes and believes in Jesus finds refreshment from within   In this passage Jesus was speaking of the Holy Spirit who guides us into all truth (John 16:13).  Time with God enables you to realize your true purpose and values in life.

You must realize that God is your ultimate source of strength and energy, In “Too Many Bosses, Too Few Leaders” Rajeev Peshawaria emphasizes the importance of finding one’s personal source of energy.  He states, “In order to do this, she must develop laser sharp clarity about two things — her purpose (the results she wants to create) and her values (the principles that will guide her when tested). Clarity of purpose and values are the only sources of long-lasting leadership energy.”

Have you discovered your source of spiritual strength and emotional energy?  The Apostle Paul realized God’s power in His ministry,

For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me.  (Colossians 1:29)

May you realize God’s power in your life and ministry!
