Fire tests gold, sufferig brave men.
Seneca

The current pandemic is a time of suffering for a number of people – I think of those who have contracted the virus or have lost loved ones, those who are out of work, and those who live with the threat of uncertainty as they wonder if they or a family member will contract the disease. The Apostle Paul can identify with our suffering as he describes four paradoxes in his letter to the Corinthians,

we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; (2 Corinthians 4:8-9)

Paul realized that he was simply an earthen vessels in which the surpassing greatness of the power of Christ could be manifested in his life. How is the life of Jesus being manifested through your life during these days of uncertainty?
