My friend and I were sitting outside taking advantage of the gentle breezes coming off the ocean in a small town on the island of Sumatra and we were discussing some of the tropical diseases on this island such as malaria, dengue fever, etc. He said “Not all of the mosquitos carry malaria, it’s the larger ones with stripes like that one” as he pointed to a mosquito that had just landed on my arm. The mosquito did not last long as I quickly swatted it. Malaria is a deadly disease but it is also a preventable disease.
Do you realize that every 45 seconds malaria kills a child?
Yesterday I discovered a way to save lives. Every single penny spent on the Kindle edition of the book End Malaria goes to Malaria No More, giving them enough money to buy one or two bednets and to deliver them and be sure they’re used properly. You can also buy paperback edition, for $25 and a $20 donation gets made. The authors of the book do not receive your money, there’s no ulterior motive, just the assurance that a child won’t die from malaria.
So last night I purchased the book. It’s a great compilation of essays by 62 of America’s favorite business authors, including Tom Peters, Nicholas Carr, Pam Slim, and Sir Ken Robinson, go to endmalariaday.com to see a complete list of contributors. The book is organized into three main sections—Focus, Courage, and Resilience — helping youto develop yourleadership ability. Will you join me in putting an end to malaria and saving a life?

Thank you for the resource Marissa. I have not seen the malaria cube, it reminds me of the E-cube I’ve used in the past. It’s a creative idea. Blessings to you and your family!
