EnthusiasmWhen you are living with purpose you exhibit enthusiasm toward life.  The word “enthusiasm” comes from the Greek word; entheos “divinely inspired, possessed by a god,” from en “in” and theos “god”.  Take a look at the Apostle Paul’s enthusiasm at  his desire to proclaim the gospel,

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for I am under compulsion; for woe is me if I do not preach the gospel. (1 Corinthians 9:16)

He was enthusiastic to share the Gospel with everyone he met.  Evangelism is the proclamation of the good news.  The word has adopted a wider meaning and denotes a meaning ardent zeal for a cause.  There is an Arab proverb that says, “What is the greatest crime in the desert?  Finding water and keeping silent.”

What’s the burden of your heart?  What is your purpose in life that inspires enthusiasm?   Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, “Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”  Regardless if you’re an extrovert or an introvert, you can be enthusiastic as you fulfill your purpose in life.  King Solomon encourages us,

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no activity or planning or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol where you are going.  (Ecclesiastes 9:10)
