Grace is given not because we have done good works, but in order that we may be able to do them.
St. Augustine
We tend to have a one-sided view of the concept of grace. We appreciate grace when we’ve sinned knowing that God still accepts us. Do we realize however, that grace can also keep us from sin!
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, (Titus 2:11-12)
