A team from the Church at Lifepark recently enjoyed a great time of professional development by attending The Global Leadership Summit.  In keeping with my annual practice, here is a key quote from each of the speakers (this was especially challenging because there were so many good quotations).

Bill Hybels –  An organization will only be as healthy as the top leader wants it to be.

Alan Mulally – People come first.

Melinda Gates – All lives have equal value.

Jossy Chacko – Don’t let earthly practicalities keep you from experiencing heavenly possibilities.

Travis Bradberry –   Emotional intelligence is the integration of the rational and emotional parts of your brain and is the greatest indicator of success.

Patrick Lencioni – We need people who are humble, hungry, and smart.

Chris McChesney – Complexity is the enemy of execution.

Erin Meyer –  We’re all speaking between the lines but the context of the conversation is very different.

John C.Maxwell –  People have uphill hopes and downhill habits.

T.D. Jakes – The great commission is not about coming but going.

Danielle Strickland – True humility is agreeing with God about who you are.

Horst Schulze – We should not hire for function but hire people to be part of a dream.

Wilfredo De Jesús – The American dream is to have it all – God says to lose it all.

The Leadership Summit will be August 10-11 next year – I hope you’re able to attend.
